The "Sail Bremerhaven" is one of the biggest meetings of sailing ships in the world. Several hundred windjammer, sailing frigates, schooner and other big sailing ships come together for a big celebrations event every five years. At the beginning this event took place irregular, in the years 1986, 1990, 1992 and 1995. Later the organizers changed to a five-years-rhythm, so the following events in 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020 and so on.
